About the therapy
Ozone, in a continuous circuit
EBOO stands for extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation. Blood is drawn through an intravenous line into a closed external circuit, where it passes through a filter and across a membrane exposed to a precise concentration of medical-grade ozone, before returning through a second line.
It is the most involved form of ozone therapy. Simpler methods treat a small volume of blood at a time; EBOO treats blood continuously throughout the session.
Ozone therapy is used in integrative medicine for a range of purposes, and research into its effects on inflammation, circulation and the immune system is ongoing. Our doctor will discuss whether EBOO suits you during your consultation.

Our doctor reviews your history and confirms EBOO is suitable for you.
Setup
You sit comfortably while two intravenous lines are placed and the circuit is prepared, about 10 minutes.
Treatment
Forty-five to sixty minutes of continuous treatment, with our team monitoring throughout.
Afterwards
A short rest and something to drink. Most guests continue their day as normal.
Safety

Not suitable if you have
- G6PD deficiency (favism)
- An overactive thyroid that is not controlled
- A bleeding disorder, or take blood-thinning medication
- Severe anaemia or low platelets
- A current pregnancy
To prepare
- Eat a normal meal beforehand
- Drink plenty of water the day before
- Wear a top with sleeves that roll up easily
- Bring a list of all medication and supplements
