About the therapy
Cold, used with intention
Whole-body cryotherapy surrounds the body with very cold, dry air for a short, carefully timed period. Because the air is dry, there is no water on the skin, which many guests find easier to tolerate than an ice bath.
The cold prompts a strong response from your circulation and nervous system. Blood moves towards your core, then returns to the skin and muscles as you rewarm. It is this cycle of brief stress and recovery that people seek out, whether after training, during a period of poor sleep, or simply to feel more awake.
Your head stays above the chamber the whole time, and a member of our team is present throughout. You can step out at any moment.
Why guests choose it
What people use it for
Responses vary from person to person. These are the reasons guests most often give for adding cryotherapy to their program.
Recovery after training
Many athletes use cold exposure to ease the soreness that follows hard sessions and to feel ready to train again sooner.
Calming inflammation
Cold is a long-established way to quiet inflamed, aching joints and muscles, and guests with stiffness often find relief.
Energy and alertness
Most people step out feeling clear and awake. Morning sessions suit those who want that lift for the day ahead.
Mood
The rush of rewarming is widely described as uplifting, and some guests use regular sessions as part of their routine for a steadier mood.
Sleep
Some guests report deeper sleep on the days they visit, especially when cryotherapy follows exercise.
Skin
The return of circulation after cold can leave skin looking brighter and less puffy for a time.
